Earth Friendly Cleaning

By September 21, 2014 No Comments

I’ve worked hard over the years to learn how to be a better steward of our planet and use less resources. I’ve also dedicated myself to finding products that are gentler on my body and the planet. I’ve collected and edited recipes for cleaning products and found naturaCleanBookCoverCROPPEDl beauty solutions that are more inline with my life philosophy. I decided to combine these into a small book so that others can share in this resource. I’m going to make it available on Kindle and other digital distribution networks and also print a limited number of paperbacks, understanding that some people will use this frequently as a good household resource. I’ve chosen a printer that is close to home, in the United States and enabled a system that will allow people to order the book in other parts of the world and have it printed close to their home too. It’s as responsible a solution I could find and get the information out there. This is a part of of my We Are Water Project. I truly believe that if people have good information, then they will never intentionally pollute their bodies or the planet. The good news is that these solutions are easy and time saving and will save you money too!

Stay tuned. The book is in editing and will be available here soon and on Amazon.com.

Here’s a sneak peek recipe:

Soft Scrubber

  • 2 cups of baking soda
  • ½ cup castille soap
  • 4 teaspoons of vegetable glycerine
  • 6 drops of antibacterial essential oil (lavender, tea tree, rosemary, etc).

Mix together until it resembles cake icing – if it is too thick, add more liquid soap. Store in a sealed glass jar for up to 2 years.  This scrub is useful for kitchen counters, stove tops, ceramic sinks, shower tiles, etc.

I just ordered a bunch of staples for eco-cleaning using this link.  Click on the link and you will get a $10 off on $30 coupon on your first order.
