As Explorer in Residence for the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, I get to travel across Canada to speak to school kids. Sometimes I am presenting to a gymnasium full of eager young kids and other times I work in small groups. We focus on topics like journalism, photography and STEM education. I have worked with conservation clubs, scuba groups, yearbook makers and science clubs. We cover everything from facing fear to focusing on preparation for university. I want to thank the W. Garfield Weston Foundation for helping make this important mission possible and Canadian North Airlines for recently getting me north of the Arctic Circle to meet a whole bunch of young explorers.
